This was done by Willy at Black Crown Tattoo in Ellwood City, PA. This was the first tattoo I wanted but ended up being my third. I finally found an amazing artist to make this happen for me and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I’ve been obsessed with pirates since I was a kid and when I first saw and understood tattoos I knew I would get a pirate ship one day. I can’t wait to add more to the rest of this arm and complete the vision I have for my arm.

This plants name is  “Makahiya”. Hiya in tagalog means “shy”.

Whenever you touch this plant’s leaves, they immediately fold up together looking, as if it’s really shy, hence the name.
